Grob LinearChain works like a conventional linear actuator but is made of specially formed links, whose geometry prevents the chain from buckling under heavy loads.

LinearChains are an important linear motion component in linear drive technology as they facilitate the movement of a load in a linear fashion, both vertically and horizontally.

Grob LinearChain is very space-efficient, requiring very little storage space/capacity. This is due to both the design of the drive housing and to the special profile of the chain links with its interlocking fingers which enable the chain to be rolled up efficiently into a small storage area, unlike traditional linear drives where significant installation space is needed for the spindle stroke.

Available in three basic sizes with stroke lengths in excess of 5 meters, the LinearChain has a maximum push force of up to 35,000 N. Compact drive units for the chain and storage magazines are also readily available for all chain sizes.
