The Made Smarter Innovation Challenge has invested over £300m in the development of new Industrial Digital Technologies in Manufacturing and their novel application in manufacturing. Dr Ben Farmer will share the highlights of how this investment has created jobs, upskilled people, driven innovation and contributed to improvements in productivity as well as reductions in waste and carbon emissions. He will also announce up to £2m of new funding to be awarded in 2025 for feasibility projects addressing the opportunity to develop low cost, easy to use and demonstratable new Industrial Digital Technologies, specifically for use by small and medium-sized manufacturers, to improve energy and/or resource efficiency.
