Michael Laycock

Michael is an Investment Director at British Business Bank, with more than a decade of experience supporting investment and growth across the UK’s venture capital ecosystem. Since joining the Bank in 2015, he has progressed through a series of investment roles, leading and managing venture capital fund investments and supporting the development of innovative, high-growth businesses. Prior to this, Michael worked at Coal Pension Trustees Services in investment operations. Based in Sheffield, he brings extensive expertise in fund investment, portfolio management and supporting the UK’s smaller business finance market.
